From Old to New: How Digital Skills Are Transforming Teaching at Beautiful Beginnings

At Beautiful Beginnings School of Excellence, we are preparing our teachers and students for the future through hands-on digital skills training in Liberia. On June 15 and 16, 2026, our teaching staff took part in a two-day technology workshop led by Edify Liberia, a leader in education-focused teacher development across West Africa.

Day One: Building Digital Literacy for Teachers

On the first day, teachers explored why technology matters in education today. Training covered:

• Core digital tools for the classroom
• Safe and professional online practices
• Foundational digital literacy skills for teachers in low-resource settings

Day Two: Applying Technology to Improve Student Learning

The second day focused on turning new skills into real classroom impact. Teachers learned how to:

• Support every student’s learning, even with limited school resources
• Track student progress and learning outcomes
• Plan more engaging, effective lessons using digital tools
